Fractions Resources
Why Fractions?
Fractions are an important part of the CCSS-M standards. Starting with geometrical shapes in Kindergarten through 2nd grade and moving into operating with fractions by 4th and 5th grades. Using Number Sense Routines that focus on fraction images utilizing area, set, and number line models, as well as reasoning around fractions, are great ways to continue student learning about fractions across a school year and multiple grade levels.
